The other night, I went to see Stephen Elliot and Steve Almond and Cheryl Strayed speak about Dear Sugar and all sorts of other things. I have loved The Rumpus and Dear Sugar from the moment I stumbled upon them, and being there in the Baghdad Theater with the people behind those things felt so lovely and warm. It felt like a hug. And every time I pick up this book, it feels the same way.
