I saw The Words today. It’s a story about a man who writes a story about a man who writes a story about a man who writes a story.

The deeper you go into these layers, the better the characters and stories become. I really hated the outer-layer characters, but the rest of the film was beautiful. That desperation that comes with chasing a dream but never quite catching it is perfectly there in this movie. I can’t get it out of my head. I sat in the car in the theater parking lot for a long time just thinking it all over after I left. That’s always a sign of a good movie.
