Tonight I got to see so many of my favorite grad school buddies, and we ended up in the most lively and brightly lit Indian restaurant on the Lower East Side. I swear, with the amount of chili-shaped lights hanging from the ceiling, you can probably see this place from space.
Also, this is the only place I’ve ever been where the phrase “packed in like sardines” actually applies. It was like eating a meal on a crowded subway car — not as unpleasant as it sounds. Seriously, everyone there was on a journey together.

I’m pretty sure I’ve been to that one. I remember there were a couple of restaurants close together, and all the hosts would come out and bid to get you to come to their restaurant. we got a free appetizer because of that!
