This morning, I stumbled upon the 12-minute trailer for Sound Of My Voice. I usually have very little patience for videos on the internet, but I was so captivated I watched it twice, and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since.

First, I really loved Brit Marling in Another Earth, and this movie puts her in another intriguing role.

Second, I was completely charmed by the little animation of the secret handshake in the beginning.

Third, when I went to share this, the options were Facebook, Twitter, and…wait for it…TUMBLR! Finally. The world is catching on. And it’s all nicely formatted for my blog. Love it.

Go ahead and watch it full screen. I know 12 minutes sounds like a long time, but it won’t once you’re watching it. It’s so weird and interesting and, well, worth it.

Movies When You Die

“I’ve always thought it would be kind of interesting if, when we die, we got to watch our lives play out like a movie.”

I’m lying on my bed, looking at the ceiling, listening to my cat purr near my head, and getting lost in these beautiful pieces from One Hello World. I’m sure I’ll spend the next hour or so listening to every single one. You probably should, too.
